Daniele Giorgi
Conductor, composer and violinist, Daniele Giorgi is committed to music from a variety of perspectives.He was born in Florence in 1970 and obtained his diploma in violin with top marks from the Conservatorio "Luigi Cherubini". He then followed the soloist course at the "Accademia di Musica della Svizzera Italiana".
For twelve years leader of the Orchestra della Toscana (ORT), in 2003 he began conducting studying with Piero Bellugi and Isaac Karabtchevsky and nowadays he's recognised as one of the best italian "batons" of his generation in the symphonic repertoire.
In September 2004 he took part in the eighth edition of the International Competition for Conductors "Antonio Pedrotti" in Trento, winning second prize overall, as well as the special audience award, and the award for the best performance of the piece of contemporary music.

collaborating with soloists including Yuri Bashmet, Kolja Blacher, Stanislav Bunin, Michele Campanella, Renaud Capuçon, Umberto Clerici, Roberto Cominati, Enrico Dindo, Ingrid Fliter, Ilya Grubert, Freddy Kempf, Karl Leister, Victoria Mullova, Igor Oistrakh, Miklós Perényi, Boris Petrushansky, Marco Rizzi, David Russell, Viktor Tetriakov, Francois-Joel Thiollier.
He has been working permanently with the Orchestra Promusica di Pistoia since its foundation in 2004.
Since 2008 he is Principal Conductor and musical director of the Orchestra Bruno Maderna.
In July 2006 he inaugurated the 31st "Cantiere d'Arte" di Montepulciano – the international festival founded in 1989 by Hans Werner Henze – In September 2006, conducting the Orchestra della Toscana, he gave the first italian performance of "Die beiden Pedagogen" by Mendelssohn for the "Sagra Musicale Umbra".
In April 2008 he conducted the Czech Chamber Philharmonic of Prague at the "Central European Music Festival".
In 2008 he prepeared the "Symphonica d'Italia" for two symphonic programmes conducted by M° Lorin Maazel.
